MADAM FOR AMERICA
Our Mission
Here at Madam for America, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the landscape of politics is desire, commitment and action. On July 25, 2019, our Founders, Dorothy L. McClendon, Cee Cee Cole and Tamika Page, believed by working together we can help shape and elevate Black women's political power starting in the Midwest.
Our mission as a nonpartisan nonprofit organization is to identify, recruit, train and elect Black women at every level of government in the Midwest. We focus on women who believe in our agenda of criminal justice reform, quality housing, education and healthcare as well as economic equity, voting rights and supporting small businesses.
We empower communities through education, training, civic engagement, policymaking and advocacy programs in partnership with our sister organization, Madam for America Education Fund (pending 501(c)(3) approval).
Through the Madam for America Political Action Committee (PAC), we recruit the strongest candidates, support campaigns financially or by providing resources to help win, study the electorate, and turn out the vote. Join us and become a member or donate to our education fund today!
