Madam for America & the Black Women Voters' Legacy Meets with Missouri Senator Karla May

On January 26, 2022, Dorothy L. McClendon, Esq. President of Madam for America and the Black Women Voters' Legacy, and member Attorney Arimeta DuPree had their first virtual meeting of the year with Missouri State Senator Karla May. We had the opportunity to introduce ourselves, our organization and discuss Senator May's pending legislation, some of our priorities regarding voting rights, criminal justice reform and potential Black female United States Supreme Court nominees. Immediately prior to our meeting, United States Supreme Court Associate Justice Stephen Breyer announced his retirement.
